We believe that every child should be able to participate in youth sports and other activities and that by participating they will gain valuable skills and confidence that will carry with them through adulthood. The Pay to Play Initiative Scholarship was developed to provide scholarship funding to cover youth activity fees and equipment for families facing financial hardship. Families are asked to pay what they can afford, and the remainder may be provided through a scholarship. Funds apply to activity fees, equipment, uniforms, and other related needs. 

Miles 4 Mentors is proud to offer these scholarships to local families with children in kindergarten through 12th Grade. To date, we have provided scholarships for swimming, karate, and dance lessons, football camps, soccer, and more. We have helped numerous families with financial assistance, athletic shoes, and mentoring. Our entire team from our board to our dedicated volunteers share a goal to help invest in area children to improve their chances of success in life. 

Students receiving scholarships must reside within and attend the Willmar Public School District. The scholarship amount is typically half of the participation fee, not to exceed $250 per child. Scholarship amounts may also vary depending on the availability of funds. Families with multiple children should complete an application for each child.
